What to Sell on Amazon FBA: 5 Products for March 2024

The hardest part about selling on Amazon is, well, figuring out what to sell on Amazon. You may have what you think is a great idea for a product, but smart sellers rely on data — not always their gut instincts — for which products to invest in.

This is especially true in March when customers shop for everyday products. Sure, sales typically slow down during this time of year, but sellers can take advantage of many opportunities to start fresh and launch new products.

  • How do you pick the best products to sell on Amazon?
  • How do you know what consumers are buying during this time of year?
  • How much inventory should you purchase?

We’ll answer all those questions and more in this article, so keep reading.

1. Easter products

Easter falls on March 31st this year, meaning you still have plenty of time to source popular goods to sell on Amazon. You can sell a wide variety of items for Easter, not just candy. Think of small toys, brightly colored gifts, activity books, and other Easter basket stuffers kids would love.

I searched “easter basket stuffers” in Keyword Scout — look at the massive spike in search volume surrounding these keywords!

While creating a private label Easter product at this point is likely out of the question, retail arbitrage is the way to go for seasonal products like this.

What can you sell? Take a look around your local grocery store, and you’ll likely find an entire aisle of Easter favorites ready to be resold on Amazon: festive candies, fillable plastic eggs, themed baskets, stuffed animals, collectible toys, and more.

Use an Amazon seller scanner app to scan the barcodes of the many Easter products and see which ones you can turn a profit on by reselling on Amazon.

2. Spring clothing

You may be saying to yourself, spring clothes already?! Yup! Since spring starts on March 19, 2024, now is a good time to start looking for spring clothing items for men, women, and children.

For example, I searched for “sundresses” in Keyword Scout, and many of the related keywords are starting to see an increase in search volume.

And the keyword “spring tops” has seen a 285% increase in search volume over the past 30 days.

While this can be a competitive product category to sell in, there is undoubtedly a high demand for spring fashion. If you are an experienced Amazon seller who isn’t afraid of competition (or selling clothes), this may be a fantastic opportunity.

Sundresses and other spring-related clothing items would be an excellent niche for any business model you follow on Amazon.

Maybe you’re a fashion designer who can create a brand-new spring style using private label, or perhaps you’re simply a retail arbitrage, online arbitrage, or wholesale reseller looking for trending products to sell. Either way, a strong customer base is looking to shop for the season.

3. Car cleaning and accessories

People love their cars and will spend lots of money on ensuring it is clean or filled with accessories to make their lives easier. Especially with us in the heart of winter right now, cars tend to get dirtier faster this time of year. Think of interior and exterior cleaning products consumers can use to keep their cars neat and tidy.

Many car cleaning-related keywords are currently trending upwards, so this may be a good time to jump into this niche.

This is also a competitive category, but if you are able to identify a common problem with a certain car product, you can create a private label product that does a better job than the products currently in the market.

Using Jungle Scout’s AI Review Analysis tool is a great way to determine the most common negative comments about a particular product.

Simply search for an ASIN of a competing product in Review Analysis, and you’ll be able to see the most common positive and negative comments about that product and ideas on how to improve it.

Of course, sellers can also go the retail arbitrage or wholesale reselling route for this niche — especially wholesale.

4. Electronics

This is a little broad, but electronics is always a good category to search for products to sell. Think headphones and fitness trackers for gym-goers, or office equipment such as monitors, lights, and surge protectors for those who work from home.

To get an idea of what types of electronics are selling well this time of year, check out the Movers and Shakers sections on Amazon. This list shows you what is moving up in popularity at the moment.

Let’s look at some electronic-related keywords using Jungle Scout’s Keyword Scout tool.

There are thousands of products to choose from within the broad electronics category. They can also fall under many other main categories, such as sports and outdoors or home and kitchen. Many of these products are evergreen, and you can sell them year-round.

We typically tell new Amazon sellers to stay away from launching an electronic product but if you have selling experience and a decent budget, think about launching a private label product that can fall under the electronics category.

A unique and powerful way to market new products is by tapping into the massive user base on TikTok. TikTok is a great way to reach targeted audiences, even in competitive markets organically.

If you can find popular electronics products to resell via retail arbitrage, online arbitrage, or even by dropshipping, that is another viable option as well.

Tip: Try local discount stores such as Marshalls or Burlington; you can often find low-priced brand-name products at these stores to resell on Amazon.

If you go the arbitrage route, make sure you scan items with your Amazon seller app first to ensure you are ungated in a particular category or brand.

5. Hobbies

This is a broad category, but try to think of the various hobbies that people you know are into and figure out if you can offer a product to that specific audience. For example, golf. March is the weird time of year when it is still cold but starts to get a little warmer towards the end of the month — and that’s when we noticed a small uptick in sales related to golfing products.

If you start to work on a golf product now, you will be ready when golf season picks up in the spring.

Need more ideas for what hobbies to sell products for? Ask ChatGPT to make a list of popular hobbies and then use Jungle Scout to do more research into some of those hobbies.

For example, photography. Someone may want to get into photography in the new year and need to buy a bunch of accessories to get them started.

There are many great opportunities to launch new private label products for nearly every hobby out there, but if you want to capitalize sooner than later, there are an unlimited number of retail arbitrage and wholesale opportunities.

How to find the best products to sell on Amazon

Don’t limit yourself to the list of ideas above, as most products in all product categories will sell in March. Think outside the box, gather your ideas, and make sure you bring them into proper product research before investing in any product to sell on Amazon.

Next, use Jungle Scout’s tools to figure out if your product idea is viable for selling on the Amazon platform:

  • Keyword Scout: Use this tool to determine a product’s search volume and gather additional keyword ideas to target in your listing and PPC campaigns. Keyword Scout will also show you the historical search volume of a particular keyword to see which time of year it is searched for the most.
  • Opportunity Finder: This tool will help you find unique niches and determine the seasonality of different products. I used this tool to find viable evergreen and seasonal products to sell during Q4 on Amazon.
  • Product Database: Enter specific criteria to find the exact products you would be interested in selling. Try out different criteria and filters, and see where your research takes you.
  • Extension: Hit the extension button, and it will pull up valuable data about the product you are currently searching for. This will give you an idea of potential monthly sales and a quick competitive analysis. With the Extension, you can now view a Historical Trend data chart located in the embedded section on a product detail page. View historical data points such as Buy Box price, New lowest price, BSR, Amazon’s price, and more.
